Support Programme for Dissertations
The Dissertations with the Possibility of Commercial Exploitation Contest intends to promote and recognize the innovative and entrepreneurial initiative, adding a special emphasis to technological innovation and knowledge, which can be generated from existing know-how in university groups.
Objectives
1. Create an enterprising culture among students and professors.
2. Entrepreneurship training for both students and professors by means of their participation in the business opportunities definition process.
3. Take advantage of the University’s knowledge as an innovation potential in the market.
4. Promote ideas and innovative companies in the university environment.
Who it is aimed at
• Students who are registered or who have presented their Dissertation during the 2009-2010 course with a desire to analyze the market opportunities of their project and, if so, carry it out within Gipuzkoa.
Requirements for participants
• Be UPV/EHU students at the Gipuzkoa Campus.
Grant
Projects selected will receive a grant of up to 10,000 € to carry out the pre-feasibility study for the six months following the awarding for the following:
• Personal Assignment,
• Costs associated with the pre-feasibility analysis and definition of the initiative’s business model.
During this study, they will have BIC GIPUZKOA BERRILAN’s tutorship and operative infrastructure, as well as the technical/technological guidance of the university tutors. The awardees will also have the option to participate in the Business Management Training organized within the ENTREPRENARI PROGRAMME framework.
